Jim has over 30 years' experience building, leading and running highly successful retail, business and mass affluent organizations. Jim worked for Wells Fargo Bank (and predecessor, First Interstate Bank) for 31 years managing retail and business banking teams located in both urban and rural markets in Northern California, Washington, Idaho and Minnesota. As Regional President for Greater Minnesota, he was responsible for 1100 team members consisting of retail, business, private banking and a specialty real estate lending group. When he took over the region, Greater Minnesota was ranked last in sales performance among all of the 33 regions in Wells Fargo. In less than 2 years, the region was at the top of the ranking. In addition, he organized and built one of the first successful retail small business programs in Wells Fargo. Two of these programs which he developed in 5 separate markets won national sales campaigns.
After retiring from Wells Fargo in 2011, Jim started a small business accounting and tax firm which he grew to over 30 clients in 18 months. He sold the practice in 2013 and joined Vantage West Credit Union ($1.5B) as VP & Manager of the Business Services and Lending department. Within 2 years, he grew the department's loan portfolio from $45MM to $108MM and tripled deposits from $26MM to $72MM. He also implemented a highly successful retail small business program in the branches unique to the credit union industry which double business checking and other product sales in the first 3 months of the program's start.
Jim has an MBA from San Francisco State University, a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School and is a certified Sales Trainer. With this experience, we provide one of the top Credit Union Consulting Services Nationwide.
